Managed to get anew flame effect created today, rather than just having the flame come out of the bowl, I have managed to create an effect with a much larger flame that takes up the whole screen. Furthermore in keeping with the vortex colour sheme I have tunred the fire green in order to associate with the colour scheme we have used throughout the print products. The final part we will add to this is to have the vortex lgog emerge from the green fire we plan to use this as a possible ending to our video depending on how it looks in the final version.

Meant to upload these earlier, but these are some of the examples of where I got the idea for doing the ritual and the fire. These are taken from the show "Supernatural" while itself really does not tie into metal music at all, it is the idea of this type of ritual with the circle, candles and more specifially large flames which are clearly supernatural. If I can get the after effects video I have created working I may even add the effect to the candles as well in a hope to give the video a much mnore lively ending.

Flame Effect

Today I have been on adobe after effects and I have created a fire effect coming out of the bowl. if it looks like it need revaluating then I will go back and change it seen as I know how know and it was, considering how good it looks, relatively simple. The only problem I can see with it is the actual size of the flame, personally i was hoping more so for a flame which sort of spread around the bowl completely but this one comes directly from the match which is quite good in some ways. there is also the fact that the flame itself seems to spawn out of mid air which gives it the supernatural feel that we have been trying to attain for our video. We also plan to use the fire effect on another part of the video in order to give it a better ending.

A2 Media - Update

So far me and James have finally put together a rough cut of the video yet there are still several things we need to do to it to make sure we are finally happy with it. For one I will be spending some time on after effects to try and create a fire effect over the bowl to make this idea that there is an element of the supernatural and that perhaps there is a summoning going on here furthermore just to create more atmosphere and give the video a bit more to it. We also have the shots of Ellen which we need to put in, however we have already created the spaces for these clips and furthermore made sure that these spaces are in time with the music so that it will take very little time and editing to get them put in. Finally the last thing I want to do to the video is perhaps to go back to premier and add some contrast and saturation to the colours in the walking scenes in particular I want to dullen the colours and give it a very meloncholic feel as the characters are walking around perhaps make the places very grey in order to give the video a "grim" feeling to it, I would also like to add a level of contrast to shots in which the pentagram is present, I think that by doing this we can give the red a deeper feel to it perhaps make it look more crimson and darker and possibly more like blood. Finally our print products have very much neared completion all of what we have done so far is on our blogs, we have made sure that throughout the digipak and advert we have delivered the same consistency with the colout scheme and the style that we have created for the band. To get these finished we need one more page of the digipak and then we are finished the print products. Hopefully we will be able to get this done as soon as soon as possible, and hopefully we will have a better more effective video by the end of the week as well. One final note about the video is as me and James have discussed slightly we would like to change the monster growl at the end of the clip perhaps find a one with a more "spine-chilling" effect to attempt to scare the viewer.

Video so far

So the video is now roughly done with a few more changes and additions to be make. The end of the video, I feel, is not done as well as the rest of the video and me and James plan to go back and have another look at it together. Also there are many places in the video toward the end where more effects such as fire need to be added we will need to do this during next week also. Finally there are still some points where we have some more footage to put in which we have recorded but we just need to convert it and put it into the video.
