As already posted on James blog this is the final version of the album poster me and James are also going to create another poster for a double page spread but this is the final version of what we have so far. We are very happy with how this has turned out, the general quality we feel is quite high we took the majourity of our inspiration from previous album adverts such as:
From this you can see the influence through the general structure of the advert and the set up with regards to the band name at the top with the name of the album underneath the artwork. We feel this worked well with the original artwork that we had, we added the lightening bolts into the background as a way to fill the black area mainly but also the green on black look is something that we are using as a motif for VORTEX and so it felt appropriate to do this for the album advert. One part of the "Sworn Against" advert that we did like was the advertising at the bottom of where this album could be bought, especially the way in they had been changed to the predominant colour of the advert itself, on this one being orange. So as can be seen when looking at the two adverts we took this convention and so made the same logo's (being that this was also a metal advert and we knew these types of brands would be best to use as they are already being shown in the genre)and so instead of orange or doing it green so that it fit in with the vortex colour scheme. Furhtermore the inclusion of "destruction productions proudly presents" was influenced from several adverts seen in my blog (posted back in October/November), this seemed approriate to us and also the inclusion of this seemed good to us.
